The Florida Memorial University Lions (3-14, 1-6 TSC) matched up against the Warner University Royals (11-6, 5-1 TSC) on Thursday night at the FMU Wellness Center.
In the first half the Royals outscored the Lions 37-43. The Royals shot 50% from the field and 33% from three point range. The Lions shot 33% from the field and 40% from three point range. In the second half the Lions made adjustments and improved their shooting percentages but it wasn't enough as the Royals shot 60% from the field and 42% from three point range to secure the victory 89-83.
The Lions had four players in double figures in scoring,
Eugene Harvey had 10 points,
Jordan Collins had 12 points, Charlie Nedd-Araujo had 18 points, and
William Phelps led all scores with 26 points.
The Lions will travel next to Webber International University on Saturday, Jan. 5th at 4:00 p.m.
