(MIAMI, FLA) -- Florida Memorial University's women's soccer team dropped their final home match of the season, 7-0, to the University of South Carolina Beaufort, Saturday, October 12.
Starting the match with nine players, the first half of the match saw a 7-0 advantage in favor of the Sand Sharks.
USCB scored their first goal in the first five minutes and their second about 10 minutes later.
The Lions struggled to get the ball past center field and were unable to take any shots in the first half.
In the second half the Lions defense came alive and held the Sand Sharks scoreless in the final 45 minutes.
Now with 10 players in the game, the Lions were able to cover more ground and sophomore
Mariana Rincon took the Lions' only shots in the match.
The Lions will next travel to Johnson & Wales Wednesday, October 16 for a 12:00 P.M. game.
