SOUTH FLORIDA)—The Florida Memorial University men's and women's soccer teams will take on another conference match-up against Johnson & Wales University, Wednesday, October 16.
On the women's side, the team will travel to North Miami to take on the Wildcats.
Last time these teams met the Wildcats out-shot FMU, 20-9, including a 12-3 edge in shots on goal. The Lions are looking for a conference win and hoping it will happen on the road.
The match will take place at Miami Shores Recreation Complex for a 12 P.M. start time.
The men's soccer team will host the Wildcats in their first meeting of the season.
Last time these teams met the Wildcats took the win in overtime (5-4). For the match, Florida Memorial held a 19-15 edge in total shots while Johnson & Wales University held a 12-11 advantage on shots on goal.
Last season the Wildcats beat out the Lions for the sixth spot in the playoffs. This game will definitely be a high energy battle.
"We've been training extremely hard, not only physically but mentally," said head coach
Edil Pavon. "We play amazing soccer but mentally we aren't where we want to be at. So, we have been working diligently on our mindsets and coach to player perspectives."
The match will take place at Emmanuel "Manno" Sanon Soccer Park for a 2 P.M. start time.
