FMU's Benbella and Sanchez earn Men's Soccer All-SUN Conference honors

TAMPA, Fla. – The 2025 All-Sun Conference Men's Soccer Teams were announced Tuesday morning, following votes by the league's nine head coaches.

Lions forward Nasreddine Benbella earned first-team All-SUN honors, while midfielder Frank Sanchez earned second-team All-SUN honors.
 

Back-to-back regular season champion Keiser led all programs with ten total All-Conference selections, including six First Team honorees and four on the Second Team. Among the returning standouts for the Seahawks were repeat All-Conference selections Mikael Baisotti, Francis Bolland, Timo Boomkens, Santiago Duque, Santiago Nebot, and Justin Bangura.

St. Thomas, the regular season runner-up, followed with six total selections, highlighted by three First Team recipients and three Second Team honorees. Forward Bouget Bouzis and midfielder Hugo Rego each earned back-to-back All-Conference recognition for the Bobcats.

New College of Florida recorded six total All-Conference selections in its second season in the league, with two on the First Team and four on the Second Team. SCAD Savannah had two representatives on the First Team, including repeat honoree and 2024 Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year Mario Goic.

Florida Memorial added two student-athletes to this year's All-Conference list, while Southeastern had two representatives on the Second Team.

The 2025 Sun Conference Men's Soccer Championship begins Thursday, November 6, with quarterfinal matchups hosted by the higher seeds. No. 4 New College of Florida will host Florida Memorial, while No. 3 SCAD Savannah will face No. 6 Southeastern. Top-seeded Keiser and No. 2 seed St. Thomas have earned first-round byes and will open play in the semifinals on Monday, November 10.
