The Lions of Florida Memorial University (16-11, 4-6 TSC) were blown out in game 2 of of the 3-game series against Webber International University (21-10, 4-4 TSC).
The Warriors jumped all over the Lions early and often in this game. By the end of the 2nd inning, the Warriors had a 0-6 lead on the Lions, and they had chased starting pitcher,
Carlos Alcon out of the game. Alcon lasted just 1 2/3 innings gave up 6 runs and walked 3 batters.
The Warriors had home runs from their designated hitter, first baseman, and center fielder. The home run from their center fielder was a grand slam, in the bottom of the 4th inning and by the end of the 4th, the score was 0-12. The Lions managed 7 hits and were able to get 3 runs across home plate but it was too little to late as the nationally ranked Warriors defeated the Lions, 3-13.
The lone bright spot in this game, for the Lions, was
Edison Cabrera who had 3 hits, 1 RBI and scored a run.
