The Keiser University Seahawks (22-14, 9-8 TSC) jumped all over the Lions early and often as the 10 run, Mercy Rule was applied and defeated the Lions in 7 innings.
The Lions took the lead in the top of the 2nd inning when
Jose Chavez earned a single to right field and
Luis Rivera would later hit single to center field scoring Chavez. That was all the offense that the Lions could muster up against a determined Seahawks pitching staff. The Seahawks would surrender 6 hits,
Axel Gomez accounted for 2 of those hits, and only allowed one run. Dominate pitching and defense was the key to the Seahawks victory over the Lions.
