The Lions traveled to Talladega, AL to take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College and lost a heart breaker in extra innings.
The Lions were leading 3-0 after four innings of baseball. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Tornadoes scored 2 runs to cut the Lions lead to 3-2.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Tornadoes got runners on first and second bases following back to back hits. A sacrifice bunt moved the tying run to third base. The next batter hit a deep fly ball to left field and the runner on third base tagged up and scored to tie the game at 3-3.
The score remained tied, 3-3, until the bottom of the thirteenth inning when Tornadoes, 2nd baseman, Jorge Rodriguez hit the first pitch that he saw in the at bat over the left field wall to beat the Lions in walk off fashion.
The loss drops the Lions record to 20-21, 8-13 TSC for the season. The Lions will play at home on Tuesday, April to 16th at 3:00 against Florida National University.
