The second full practice for the FMU Lions football team took place on Wednesday afternoon and was able to take place even with poor weather looming above Harry T. Moore Field. The team had a day off on Tuesday as they focused on the local elections and encouraged the public to vote.

As mentioned in our coverage from Mondays' first full practice, full pads won't be on until the fifth scheduled practice.
Practice started with some routine drills for the offense and defense before individual positional drills began. Off the start of practice, Tight Ends Coach/Special Teams Coordinator Nicholas Oyarzun could be heard yelling, "Man, it's a great day" and teasing with players that "...man, some people had to go to work today and clock in. I love it out here". Oyarzun continued to preach to his offensive players during opening drills and stressing the importance of paying attention to detail.
Head Coach Timothy Harris spent a good amount of time with the running back group during practice. While working with the group, he had the players working on footwork and, again, attention to detail with each cut they made, stating "finish every run".

The heat was beaming down on players and coaches, but Coach Harris never failed to stress to his players the need to stay socially distant during water breaks. You could even hear players asking for their assigned water bottles on the sidelines.
Before the weather started to creep above Harry T. Moore Field, the players ran some 11 on 11 drills. The focus for most of the drills was done while running the football. Accountability was stressed, and players could be seen running to the football on every play and doing pushups on the sideline after mental errors.

The practice was eventually brought inside after storms began to make their way to the practice field.
