MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University's women's soccer team battled early, playing neighborhood and Sun Conference rival St. Thomas University to a scoreless first half, but couldn't keep the host Bobcats off the score board in the second half – ultimately falling 5-0 Wednesday evening.
The Lions (0-3, 0-3 Sun Conference) did get seven saves from sophomore goalkeeper
Kacy Zimmerman, but they were out-shot 21-2 by St. Thomas and lost the corner kick margin 11-2.
Florida Memorial will have a very short respite before it gets back on the pitch, traveling to Babson Park, Florida this coming Saturday (Oct. 3) to take on Webber International University.
