Tough Shooting Night Haunts Lions MBB In Wednesday Loss To Arizona Christian

Florida Memorial had a tough time generating offense Wednesday
 
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Senior center Mubashar Ali recorded his first double-double of the season – 12 points and 10 rebounds – but he was the only Florida Memorial University player to score in double figures as it was a tough shooting night overall for the Lions as they fell 79-55 to Arizona Christian University Wednesday night in the Keiser Holiday Classic.
 
How It Happened
  • FMU fell behind early and ended up trailing 42-19 at halftime.
  • The Lions trailed just 14-11 with just over 14 minutes left in the first half before the Firestorm went on a 13-0 run to take control of the game.
  • ACU outscored Florida Memorial 28-8 over the final 14 minutes of the first half.
  • The Lions' deficit grew as large as 31 points during the second half.
  • Florida Memorial only got as close as 16 during the second half (50-34) after a Rodney Guillory three-pointer.
