FMU MBB Falls To NCAA Division-II Barry University Saturday

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University appeared to still have a bit of holiday malaise as it fell 112-68 to NCAA Division-II Barry University (Fla.) in a non-counting exhibition game Saturday night in the FMU Wellness Center.

How It Happened

FMU trailed 52-34 at halftime and saw Barry University extend its lead over the second half.
Barry at one point in the second half scored 21 unanswered points.
Florida Memorial battled with the Buccaneers early in the first half, at one point holding a four-point lead.
The Lions went on a 6-0 run early in the first half, getting three-straight dunks – by Brent Holcombe, Cheikh Kebe, and Mubashar Ali.
Barry's largest lead was a 49-point advantage before Kebe and Carington Campbell each knocked down three-pointers in the waning minutes to cut the final deficit to 112-68

Kebe led the Lions with 17 points in nearly 35 minutes of action – setting a new season-high point total.
Ali recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Florida Memorial lost the rebound battle 43-35.
