MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University will be looking to snap its six-game losing streak when it hosts Warner University Wednesday morning on the FMU Beach Courts.

Wednesday's match, which is slated to start at 11:30 a.m., is a makeup from the March 13th tri-duel (which was supposed to be hosted by Warner University) that was postponed for health and safety reasons.

Per updated University protocols, a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend Wednesday match. Current FMU students and staff members will be granted entry upon showing result of a recent negative (healthy) rapid COVID-19 test via a school-issued wristband and fans will be allowed to enter upon receiving a temperature check at the school's front entrance.

FMU (2-6, 2-2 The Sun Conference) hit a rough patch following its pair of wins at the season-opening tri-duel against St. Thomas University and Southeastern University on February 20th. The Lady Lions narrowly dropped their home opener 3-2 against Webber International on March 6; didn't put forth its best effort against Ave Maria University in a 4-1 loss; then dropped two games each to NCAA Division-I opponents Florida International University (which is ranked No. 13 nationally) and the University of North Florida at the Panther Beach Battle Tournament.

Still, Florida Memorial head coach Marrita Crockett-Moulton knows that her team's record isn't indicative of the talent that they possess and believes that her team is capable of winning the upcoming Sun Conference Beach Volleyball Conference Tournament (March 27) as well as making a deep run in the AVCA Small College National Tournament, which they've already qualified for.

FMU, however, would still like to build some winning momentum and earn its first victory on its home sand by knocking off Warner University Wednesday.

The Royals (2-2, 2-1) have been an up and down team in their limited action this season. After losing their first two matches this season, Warner University has won its past two – including a 3-2 win over Webber International this past Monday.

Florida Memorial has been working with a reshuffled lineup as sophomore Agustina Busque has missed time for health and safety reasons, but Coach Crockett-Moulton still has high expectations for the pairs of Dana Noel/Rafaela Nogueira and Olivia Dodd/Azmabeth Infante and hopes to see the continued uptick in play from the duo of Sammyra Albarran/Alanis Santana.
