FMU Has Tough Night At Nova Southeastern Friday

DAVIE, Fla. – Florida Memorial University's men's soccer team had a tough outing Friday night, falling to NCAA Division-II opponent Nova Southeastern University 4-0 at NSU's Soccer Complex.

Friday's outcome marked the second-straight loss to a NCAA Division-II team – following Wednesday's loss at Barry University – for the Lions, completing what arguably is the toughest two-game stretch of the season.

Florida Memorial (0-3) was credited with just two shots – one on goal – Friday while Nova Southeastern took 24 shots, 16 of which FMU goalkeeper Jesus Tovar faced. Tovar did finish a season-high with 12 saves.

FMU head coach Daniel Radice's group will have a few days to recuperate from the tough stretch before it hits the road to face Johnson University in Kissimmee, Florida on September 16th.
