FMU Men’s Soccer Game Canceled Due To Inclement Weather

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Florida Memorial University's men's soccer program had its road game at the University of Fort Lauderdale canceled Wednesday due to inclement weather.

The game, which was set to kickoff at 3 p.m., never began as there was lightning in the area in addition to a steady downpour of rain which made playing conditions unfavorable enough for officials to call off the game.

Because the teams are not conference foes, it is not mandatory that the game be rescheduled, however the teams could elect to make up the game at a later date.

For the Lions, having Wednesday's game wiped away allows them to instantly shift their focus to their next game – the team's home opener against visiting Sun Conference foe Ave Maria University this coming Saturday (September 25).
