FMU Falls At Barry University Wednesday

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Florida Memorial University's men's soccer team couldn't its proverbial motor going Wednesday night as it fell 5-0 to host Barry University at BU's Buccaneer Field.

The Lions had a tough night overall against the NCAA Division-II opponent, taking just five total shots – one shot on goal – and drew just three corner kicks. Comparatively, Barry University finished with 22 shots, 11 shots on goal, and had 11 corners.

For the second straight game, it was Johan Godoy that led the Florida Memorial in shots. Godoy accounted for 3 of the team's 5 shots and took the lone shot on goal.

Artur Barros and Jasen Velken each also took a shot.

The Lions (0-2) will have to put Wednesday's result behind them quickly as they will make a quick return to the pitch since adding Nova Southeastern University – another NCAA Division-II opponent – to the schedule for a Friday (Sept. 10) night meeting at NSU's Soccer Field.
