Joseph finds Tulley for 8th goal of season as FMU stumbles against Webber

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. | The FMU Lions (1-7-3, 1-3-1) scored late in the second half, but it wasn't enough as Webber International came away with the 3-1 victory at Broward College South.

Both teams were held scoreless in the first half as they exchanged six shot attempts apiece. However, shortly after halftime, Webber broke the tie with the go-ahead goal in the 56th minute.

The Warriors added another goal in the 72nd minute and all hope seemed lost for the Lions until striker Brad Tulley blew by the entire back line and was left one on one with the opposing goalkeeper. Tulley's shot attempt went wide left in what seemed to be a guaranteed goal. Three minutes later, FMU's relentless hustle finally paid off when Kervens Joseph found Tulley for the Lions' first goal of the match, cutting the deficit to just one.

11 seconds later, the Warriors closed the door on any comeback attempt and responded with an insurance goal of their own.

FMU freshman goalkeeper Juan Palacio produced a game-high 10 saves but allowed three goals in the loss.

The Lions continue conference play on Saturday, October 22 as they host Thomas University. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Broward College South.
