PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. | The FMU Lions (1-7-4, 1-3-2) took a lead into halftime before giving up the equalizer in the second half, resulting in a 1-1 draw vs. Thomas University on Senior Day at Broward College South Campus Turf Field.
FMU struck first when Brad Tulley found Alejandro Caicedo in the 27th minute for the go-ahead goal. However, the Night Hawks answered back in the 72nd minute when Stanley Hooker scored off a corner kick to tie the match.
As a team, the Lions finished with eight shots compared to 13 for the Night Hawks. Strikers Tulley and Caicedo finished with FMU's only shots on goal, producing one apiece.
Overall, not a single caution or red card was given out to either team all afternoon.
FMU's three seniors, Johan Godoy, Luis Constantini and Tajay Russell were honored at halftime as they played their last home game in a Lions uniform.
Florida Memorial continues action on Tuesday, October 25 as they travel to Temple Terrace, Fla. to face Florida College in non-conference competition. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
