MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | The FMU Lions won their fourth-straight conference match with a three-set sweep over Warner (25-18, 25-15, 25-21) at the FMU Wellness Center.
Led by this week's Sun Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week, the Lions once again dominated their opponents from start to finish. Outside hitter
Caroline Souza finished with a game-high 10 kills while teammate Rafaela Noguiera added eight. FMU setter
Agustina Busque distributed a game-high 27 assists and was marvelous, feeding the Lions' attackers all evening.
As a team, Florida Memorial generated 37 total kills compared to just 23 for their counterpart. In recent FMU volleyball fashion, the Lions took advantage of free points, producing 11 aces in the victory.
Defensively, the Lions were able to pick up on the Royals' hitters as Souza,
Olivia Dodd and
Mar Danes finished with eight digs apiece. At the net,
Maria Rodriguez and
Shainell Taylor both produced two blocks apiece while Souza added one.
The Lions continue conference play as they host Southeastern on Saturday, October 22 in Sun Conference competition. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
