AVE MARIA, Fla. | Florida Memorial (11-9, 7-7) dropped its final regular season contest to Ave Maria by the score of 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-20) at the Donahue Gym.

FMU was led by Brazilian native Rafaela Nogueira, who finished with a team-high 10 kills as well as 12 digs. Teammate Shainell Taylor produced nine kills while fellow Lion Kimberlie Correa added six in the loss.

As a team, Florida Memorial generated 32 kills while the Gyrenes finished with 42 kills. However, FMU ended with 24 hitting errors compared to just 10 for Ave Maria.

FMU setter Agustina Busque led all Lions with 16 assists and added eight digs. 

The Lions finish regular season conference play and await the final seeding for the 2022 Sun Conference Volleyball Tournament.
