FMU Softball Falls To Grand View University At Fortune Road Tournament; Has Second Game Canceled

Box Score KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The weather continued to be unkind to everyone in Central Florida this week as Florida Memorial University was one of multiple teams to have more games at the Fortune Road/The Spring Games Tournament washed out Thursday, but the Lions were able to complete one game – falling 12-3 to Grand View University (Mich.) Thursday night at the soggy Fortune Road Sports Complex.

FMU was also scheduled to play University of Saint Francis (Ind.) earlier Thursday but had that game get canceled due to weather. The Lions ended up only being able to play two of the originally-scheduled six games they were slated to play in Kissimmee, Florida this week – splitting the results between Wednesday and Thursday.

Up Next
The Lions will come home and be right back in action Friday (March 11) as they will host Webber International University for a three-game weekend series.
