PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. | Despite pouring in three first half goals, and leading 4-1 in the second half, Florida Memorial (0-2-1) resulted in a 4-4 draw against Lawrence Tech (1-1-2) in non-conference action at Broward College South Campus Field.
In the opening minutes, FMU striker
Brad Tulley played a quick one-two ball to teammate
Alejandro Caicedo, who returned a perfect pass to Tully as he entered the opponents' penalty area. Tulley made a brilliant move and forced Blue Devils goalkeeper Marko Matovski on the ground before dribbling around him and putting it in the back of the net for the go-ahead goal in the 6th minute.
Two minutes later, Caicedo finished off a shot attempt from teammate
Jasen Velken to give FMU a 2-0 lead.
Lawrence Tech's Michael Ruiz answered back with a goal in the 23rd minute after collecting a rebound off the crossbar, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Just before halftime, speedster
Tajay Russell connected with Praise Adekanmmbi for FMU's third goal of the half.
In the second half, FMU continued its dominance and went up 4-1 with a goal in the 48th minute with another goal from Tulley, who juked and dropped the goalkeeper to the ground, nearly identical to his first goal. For the next 15 minutes, the game stalled as both teams played back and forth. However, in the 62nd minute, the Blue Devils got one back with a goal from Alex Hall, bringing the score to 4-2.
After 20 more minutes of constant action, Lawrence Tech managed another goal in the 82nd minute, coming off a set piece. In the 85th minute, Hall scored the equalizer as the Blue Devils took advantage of another set piece.

As a team, FMU finished with a total of 17 shots (10 on goal) while the Blue Devils produced 15 shots (seven on goal.) Lions goalkeeper and D1 transfer
Joshua Aranzazu finished with three saves but allowed four goals in the draw.
The Lions return to action on Wednesday, September 7 as they host Barry. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Broward College South Campus Turf Field (7200 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, Fla.)
