HIALEAH, Fla. | Florida Memorial dropped a non-conference contest to Florida National by the score of 81-73 at Bucky Dent. The loss marks a 4-game skid as the Lions look to bounce back their rivals over the weekend.

Emmanuel Umoffia tied a game-high with 20 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and grabbed 11 boards while teammate
Tariq Humes added 17 points on 6-of-8 from the field.
The Lions led 37-32 at the break, but were outscored 49-36 in the latter half. As a team, the Conquistadors won the rebound battle 41-33 while the Lions turned the ball over 16 times in the contest.

Rod Boggan proved to be a stat stuffer, scoring 10 points to go along with four boards, four assists and two steals in 31 minutes of action.
Florida Memorial returns to action on Saturday, January 21 as they face St. Thomas in Sun Conference play. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at the Family Fernandez Center in Miami Gardens.
