MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial dropped a third straight conference contest, this time against the third ranked team in the country, St. Thomas, by the score of 3-1 at the STU Soccer Field.
The Lions got behind early by giving up a goal in the sixth minute of play, but gained their composure for the remainder of the first half.
In the latter half, the Bobcats scored the eventual match-winner in the 70th minute. However, FMU did not go out quietly as striker
Brad Tulley scored the Lions' only goal of the evening, finishing a ball played from teammate
Jeremiah Johnson. St. Thomas responded with an insurance goal late in the contest, and FMU couldn't answer back before the final whistle.
FMU goalkeeper
Hardy Muguet finished with five saves but allowed three goals while Tulley produced a match-high five shots in the loss.
FMU will return to action on Monday, Oct. 9 as they travel to Lake Wales to face Warner.
