WESTLAKE, Ohio | At the recent National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention in Orlando, it was announced that Florida Memorial Director of Athletics Jason Horn will serve as the next NAIA Athletics Directors Association President.
"I am looking forward to serving the NAIA-ADA as President," said Horn. "The current set of ADA officers are very innovative, and we are prepared to make great things happen as we continue the work of the Athletic Directors to collectively serve our students, coaches, staff and institutions. I have been affiliated with NACDA for many years and plan to continue collaborating on great projects over the course of the next year."
The purpose of the NAIA Athletics Directors Association (NAIA-ADA) is to: Engage our Athletics Directors with meaningful collaboration, forums and national recognition; Empower our Athletics Directors in their professional development and leadership roles in the NAIA; and to Promote NAIA Athletics Directors' collective voice on issues affecting membership and college athletics on a national scale.
"Congratulations to Jason Horn for being elected as the first African-American male to serve as President of the NAIA Athletic Directors Association," said Florida Memorial University President Dr. Jaffus Hardrick. "As a thought-leader and visionary, he will lead the organization to the next level excellence and help shape policies and programs that will prepare the next generation of student-athletes for global leadership."

In addition, Mr. Horn was recently named Vice Chair of Ratings, Awards, and Statistics Committee of the NAIA National Administrative Council.
Horn takes the reins from Drew Watson, director of athletics at Southeastern University, who will transition to Immediate Past President. Serving alongside Horn will be: 1

Horn is no stranger to working in athletics, on all levels. His professional career spans nearly 30 years, including working with organizations such as the Detroit Pistons, the NBA Development League (now G-League), several NCAA Division 1 universities, Conference USA, and the Olympic Winter and Summer Games.
He was named NAIA National Athletic Director of the Year in 2020 and one of the NACDA National Athletics Directors of the Year in 2021. He also was named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Athletic Director of the Year three times during his time in New Orleans (2017, 2019, 2020).
He currently is involved with several local and national organizations, including a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, a voting member on the NAIA's National Administrative Council, the Executive Leadership Committee of the Sun Conference, and most recently on the Executive Committee of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA).
