Box Score AVE MARIA, Fla. | The FMU Lions (2-1-2) earned their second win of the season on the road, dominating Ave Maria 3-0 in a Sun Conference matchup. With the victory, head coach Alex Nichols' hungry bunch is receiving NAIA top-25 votes as they prepare for tonight's SUN contest against Warner.
In the chippy contest, 28 fouls were called, with 15 of them being on FMU.

Jeremiah Johnson in the penalty area for his first goal of the season.
Brad Tulley eventually came off the bench to give FMU a 2-0 lead with a perfectly placed penalty kick after a hand ball was called against the Gyrenes in the penalty box.
FMU came out after break to extend their lead in the 74th minute.
Andres Rojas Garbanzo linked up with Tulley, who was positioned at the far post to make it 3-0 via a header that Garbanzo crossed in magnificently.

Joshua Aranzazu and his back line stood firm to shut out Ave Maria. Aranzazu had one save and earned a clean sheet.
The Lions held most of the possession as they had a season high 31 shots.
FMU will return to action on Wednesday, September 20 as they face Warner in Lake Wales, Fla. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Royals Field.
