AVE MARIA, Fla. | Florida Memorial University's women's soccer team's contest against Ave Maria resulted in a 0-0 draw at Gyrene Field. It was a tight match throughout the 90 minutes, with both teams ending scoreless at the end of regulation.

FMU's Sierra Bartley led the team in shots with four, followed by senior Irati Elorduy with three and teammates Brianna Campos and Kiara Kallie with one apiece.

FMU goalkeeper Lucia Martinez Garcia defended the net with four saves in the match.

The draw moves FMU to program best 5-4-2 on the year and 2-3-2 in conference play.

The Lions return to action Monday, October 21, where they'll travel to Temple Terrace to face Florida College in non-conference play. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
