MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | The Florida Memorial University men's soccer team produced a 1-1 draw against Florida National in non-conference action at Milader Park.
After going down in the 15th minute of the contest, the Lions could not respond before halftime. However, in the 69th minute, FMU midfielder
Cesar Herrero scored the equalizer, bringing the match to a standstill until the final whistle.

Juan Mora produced a season-high seven saves in the draw. This was the first season that the program did not suffer a loss to the FNU Conquistadors in season play in the modern era. First year head coach David Martinez has impressed in his first season in Miami Gardens.
FMU returns to action on Monday, October 21 as they host Webber in a rescheduled match. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. at Dr. Lester Brown Park.
