MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | After leading by 30 points at the break, No. 22 Florida Memorial University dismantled Florida National 99-47 in front of a packed house in the home opener at the FMU Wellness Center. The win marks the third straight victory for the Lions to open the season.
The Lions were led by
Latavious Mitchell who finished with a game-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field to go along with a game-high 12 rebounds while adding three assists.
As a team, FMU dominated the paint, grabbing 54 rebounds versus just 27 for their opponent.

Mohamad Diallo had a stellar contest, generating 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field while teammate
Terrin Hamilton produced 11 points and grabbed nine boards in the lopsided victory.
FMU newcomer Dorell Little shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, finishing with 13 points, six rebounds and two assists.
The Lions return to action on Friday, November 1 as they host Florida College. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
