Walter Wilbon scored the first touchdown of the game for FMU, but it was too little too late for the Lions.
Sophomore quarterback and reigning SUN Conference Offensive Player of the Week
David Buggs completed 18-of-35 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown while Wilbon finished with 90 rushing yards and a touchdown. FMU wide receiver Jalen Holley led the team with three catches for 35 yards and a touchdown reception.
On the defensive end, linebacker
Joshua Mimms produced one sack and tied a team-high with seven tackles while defensive back
Darius Conley also generated a team-high seven tackles.
The Lions return to the gridiron on Saturday, November 16 as they host Lincoln in non-conference action for senior day. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Betty T. Ferguson Stadium.
