SARASOTA, Fla. | Florida Memorial University took care of business against New College of Florida with a 87-53 victory on the road. The Lions controlled the game from start to finish, as they never relinquished the lead for the entire 40 minutes of regulation and scored 25 points or more in the first and third quarter.
The duo of
Kamesha Moore and
Agar Farres Garcia led the team in scoring with 16 points apiece. Garcia earned her second-straight double-double with her team-leading 15 rebounds while Moore led the team in steals with six. Senior
Alyza Winston finished with 12 points, going 3-of-6 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. Sophomore
Kalea Rainey added 10 points for FMU, going 4-of-9 from the field, while generating four steals.
The win moves FMU to 8-1 on the year and 3-0 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Monday, November 25, when they'll take on Siena Heights. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. in Adrian. Mich.
