PANAMA CITY, Fla. | No. 15 Florida Memorial University won its second straight contest, this time 77-70 over Loyola (La.) in game one of the Battle at the Beach.
The Lions produced four scorers in double figures and were led by graduate student
Felix Uadiale who finished with 15 points and six boards while fellow Lion
Latavious Mitchell added 14 points and 16 rebounds.
FMU newcomer
Terrin Hamilton chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds while teammate
Jason Danso scored 10 points and dished out eight assists in the victory.
As a team, the Lions bench outscored the Wolf Pack 30-19 and won the rebound battle 41-35.
Florida Memorial University returns to the court on Tuesday, November 26 as they face Faulkner (Ala.) in game two of the Battle at the Beach. Tip-off is slated for 12:30 p.m.
