MIAMI, Fla. | In one of the closest matches of the season, Florida Memorial University pulled through in the conference opener to defeat Webber International University 1-0 at Orange Bowl Field.

Eider Alcorta Saenz, put together a sensational one-touch world class volley that ended up in the back of the net, putting FMU on the board for what eventually was the match-winner. The win continues the program's historic start, as for the first time in history FMU starts a season with four straight wins.
The win moves FMU to 4-0 on the year and 1-0 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Wednesday, September 18, where they'll host Edward Waters University for the Big Cat Classic. Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Dr. Lester Brown Park.
