WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. | The Florida Memorial University men's soccer team struggled against No. 18 Keiser Univeristy, falling 8-0 at Arrigo - Vecellio Field. The contest marks the biggest loss of the season for FMU, who fall to 0-3 in conference play under first year head coach David Martinez.
Despite giving up the first goal of the match in the 12th minute, the Lions played a very competitive first half. However, the second half ended up in shambles as FMU played dismal, giving up a season-high seven goals in one half.
FMU produced four first-half shots before being shut out with zero in the latter half. The back line also allowed a season-high 12 shots in the second half to the Seahawks.
Lions goalkeeper finished with four saves, but allowed a season-high eight goals in the match.
The Lions return to action on Saturday, September 28 as they host New College Florida at Orange Bowl Field. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. in Miami, Fla.
