No. 15 Florida Memorial University cruises past Warner for 10th straight victory

LAKE WALES, Fla. | No. 15 Florida Memorial University won its 10th straight contest with a 95-74 victory over Warner, avenging an earlier loss in the season. The win lifts the Lions to 8-2 in conference play.

FMU was led by the one-two punch of Shawnee State transfers senior Latavious Mitchell, who finished with a game-high 21 points and 12 boards while graduate student Felix Uadiale generated 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out two assists and had two steals.

Junior Calvin Payton added 14 points and hit four 3-pointers in the victory.

As a team, the Lions dominated down low, scoring 64 points in the paint compared to just 30 for the Royals.

The Lions return to the court on Saturday, February 1 as they face No. 23 Ave Maria on the road. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.
