Hot 4th quarter lifts FMU past Warner 70-52

LAKE WALES, Fla. | Florida Memorial University (RV) outscored their opponent 24-9 in the fourth quarter in a 70-52 victory over Warner at the Turner Athletic Center. The win lifts the Lions to 9-1 in SUN Conference play as they remain atop of the standings.

FMU was led by Catalonian native Agar Farres Garcia, who finished with a game-high 15 points, including nailing 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to go along with eight boards and four steals while teammate Makayla Transou generated 12 points and nine rebounds for the first place Lions.

Division 1 transfer Alyza Winston chipped in with nine points and two rebounds in the victory.

The Lions bench mob had a solid evening, outscoring the Royals bench 31-22.

The Lions return to the court on Saturday, February 1 as they face Ave Maria on the road. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
