BABSON PARK, Fla. | The Lions took care of business on the road en route to their eighth straight victory, this time in a blowout conference win over Webber by the score of 76-51 at the Sabbagh Athletic Center. The win lifts FMU to 12-1 on the year as they remain a perfect 5-0 in conference play under the direction of first year head coach Kevin Herod.
"We are still hungry for improvement," said Herod. "We must lock in for Saturday's home game."
After leading by just five points at the break, the Lions dismantled the Warriors 29-12 in the third quarter behind another ferocious halftime speech from their leader.
Makayla Transou finished with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field to go along with six boards and four assists while teammate
Kamesha Moore made her presence felt with 13 points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist in just 20 minutes of action.

Ebony Black-Smith added 11 points, five rebounds and one steal in the victory.
As a team, FMU dominated down low, scoring 42 points in the paint compared to just 26 for their opponent. In addition, the Lions controlled the glass, crushing the rebound battle 52-22.
The Lions also capitalized off of Warrior mistakes, scoring 22 points off of 14 Webber turnovers.
Florida Memorial University returns to the court on Saturday, January 11 as they host Coastal Georgia. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
