FMU Falls 3-0 to Ave Maria in Road Match

AVE MARIA, Fla. | Florida Memorial University fell in its road match to Ave Maria 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-17).

Sophomore Serena Edwards led the team in kills with five, while senior Julia Carneiro led in blocks with three. Junior Carolina Alonso led the team in assists with eight, while sophomore Desiree Donald led in digs with 12.

The loss drops FMU to 0-18 on the year and 0-9 in conference play.

The Lions return to action Friday, October 17, when they'll host Florida College for Community Night. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at Carol City High School.
