MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University defeated the University of Fort Lauderdale 63-58 at the FMU Wellness Center. The Lions went back and forth with the Eagles all game, but stayed ahead of Fort Lauderdale for both halves, resulting in the win.
Graduate student
Jeffrey Selden led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds, earning a double-double. Junior
Devin Carter finished with 13 points and seven rebounds, while teammates
Sehmaj Mentor and
Petar Asceric chipped in eight points each.
The win moves FMU to 6-2 on the season.
