ORLANDO, Fla. | Florida Memorial University defeated Tuskegee in round one of the innagural HBCU Hoops Invitational at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Lions were down by six at the half, and down 14 at one point in the second half. But the Lions battled all game, and with less than 10 minutes to go, clawed back and were within striking distance of TU. Down by one, senior Maximo Moratinos made a crucial three-point shot to complete the comeback and send FMU to the championship round.

The win moves FMU to 7-2 on the season.

The Lions return to action Saturday, December 6, when they'll take on Florida A&M in the championship round of the HBCU Hoops Invitational. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. in Orlando, Fla.
