MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | No. 15 Florida Memorial University won their 20th game of the year with a 89-58 victory over Florida National at the FMU Wellness Center.
The Lions held the Conquistadors to 21 first-half points with stellar defense, scoring a total of 25 points off of 19 Conquistador turnovers.
FMU was led by graduate student
Felix Uadiale who finished with a game-high 18 points and shot a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor to go along with nine boards, two steals and one assist while teammate
Latavious Mitchell added 14 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one block in the victory.
Fellow Lions
Terrin Hamilton and
Sehmaj Mentor generated 11 and 10 points respectively, while
Dahmir Bishop chipped in with nine points and three assists.
As a team, FMU's bench dominated FNU's bench, outscoring them 42-18 in the contest.
Florida Memorial University returns to the court on Wednesday, February 12 as they face Coastal Georgia. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Brunswick, Ga.
