(RV) Lions cruise past Coastal Georgia 85-65 for 19th win of season

BRUNSWICK, Ga. | (RV) Florida Memorial University held its opponent to just four second quarter points en route to an 85-65 victory over Coastal Georgia. The win lifts FMU to 19-3 overall under the direction of first year head coach Kevin Herod.

Senior Kamesha Moore flirted with a triple-double as she finished with a game-high 22 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field to go along with nine boards, nine assists and seven steals.

Teammates Alyza Winston and Makayla Transou added 13 and 12 points respectively.

The Lions defense capitalized on several Coastal Georgia mistakes all evening, scoring 33 points off of 31 Mariners turnovers while FMU's bench outscored CCGA's bench 40-32.

Florida Memorial University returns to the court on Saturday, February 15 as they host St. Thomas for Friends and Family Day as well as Senior Day. Tip-off for the Battle of Miami Gardens is slated for 2 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
