FMU's Moore scores 33 in 86-71 victory over STU in Battle of Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | (RV) Florida Memorial University guard Kamesha Moore scored a season-high 33 points in the 86-71 victory over St. Thomas in the Battle of Miami Gardens at the FMU Wellness Center. The contest marks FMU's 20th win of the season under first year head coach Kevin Herod as the Lions regain sole possession

Moore was spectacular for the Lions, connecting on 7-of-9 from the charity stripe to go along with six rebounds, four steals and three assists while teammate Alyza Winston dropped 18 points, three steals and one rebound, including burying four 3-pointers and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the line.

The Lions' bench once again allowed FMU to pull away late in the contest, outscoring the Bobcats' bench 29 to 21.

Florida Memorial University returns to the court on Wednesday, February 19 as they host Keiser in the conference season finale. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
