MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | (RV) Florida Memorial University ended the regular season with a solid home victory, dismantling Florida National 83-58 at the FMU Wellness Center. The win lifts FMU to 21-4 overall.

Senior Makayla Transou led the way with a team-high 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from downtown while teammate Kalea Rainey added 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field to go along with four rebounds and one steal in the victory.

Fellow Lion Ebony Black-Smith filled the stat sheet as she produced 11 points, four assists, three boards and three steals for the Lions, who finish the regular season on a high note.

After slight confusion, the FMU Lions were officially crowned 2024-25 SUN Conference Women's Basketball Regular Season Champions with a 13-3 conference record, owning the tie breaker over Southeastern due to a season sweep. With a first-round bye in the tournament, the Lions will now await and will play host to the winner of Ave Maria and Keiser, who battle on Tuesday evening.

FMU's semifinal game against Ave Maria or Keiser will be on Friday, February 28 at 6 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center, with the winner going to the SUN Conference Championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
