BABSON PARK, Fla. | The Florida Memorial University men's soccer team kicked off its 2025 campaign with a non-conference road contest against Webber. Trailing 2-0 early in the first half, the Lions struggled to find their rhythm. However, following a lengthy lightning delay, FMU stormed back with three unanswered goals to complete the sensational 3-2 comeback victory over the Warriors.
Transfer forward
Mohamed Sadiki scored the first goal of the season in the 42nd minute as he calmly placed a penalty kick in the back of the net, cutting the deficit to 2-1 in favor of Webber.
In the second half, the Lions wasted no time as Sadiki found the equalizer and scored his second goal of the match, (50th min.) less than five minutes into the half.
With the match tied 2-2, FMU found a way to produced the go-ahead goal in the final 10 minutes of the contest as
Nasreddine Benbella scored a penalty kick from the spot which proved to be the match winner.

Ricardo Delgado Villalobos finished with a season high six saves in the victory as the Lions improve to 1-0 on the year.
Florida Memorial University returns to action on Saturday, August 23 as they host Xavier (La.). Kickoff is slated for 9 a.m. at Orange Bowl Field (Ives Estates) in Miami.
