MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University women's volleyball team fell to St. Thomas 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17) in the Battle of the Gardens.

L'fe Roberts led the way for FMU with seven kills and added two aces to power the attack. Senior
Julia Carneiro provided a strong defensive presence at the net with two blocks, while junior
Carolina Alonso directed the offense with nine assists. In the back row, sophomore
Desiree Donald anchored the defense, collecting a match-high 13 digs.
The loss drops FMU to 0-14 on the year, and remains 0-5 in conference play.
The Lions return to action, Wednesday, October 1, where they'll battle Keiser for the Pink Out Game. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
