TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for football for the week of September 29, 2025.
All 14 awards are based on performances from September 22 – September 28.
Football Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Kareem Roberts, Florida Memorial
Senior | Miami, Fla. | Linebacker
Notes: Kareem was a problem for RV Cumberland all game long. His five tackles were all solo tackles, and with 2:49 left in the game, Roberts came up with a huge INT to seal the game for the Lions over a quality Phoenix team.
Offensive Player of the Week
Jerodd Sims, Florida Memorial
Senior | Pine Prairie, La. | Running Back
Notes: Jerodd Sims was a problem for the Phoenix defense. His powerful presence on the ground is further backed by his 123 rushing yards on 17 attempts and two touchdowns, and a long of 35 yards. He was also a danger in the receiving game, catching three passes for 67 yards. With 190 all-purpose yards on the day, Sims was one of the key contributors for the Lions in victory over RV Cumberland.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Sean Egloff, Florida Memorial
Freshman | Kicker
Notes: Egloff went perfect in the win against RV Cumberland, making the Lions' lone field goal and 3/3 on PATs. He totaled six points, and his lone FG went for 35 yards.
