Dominique Garcia Blackwood made a crucial three to give FMU a one-point lead. Keiser got fouled and made one of their shots to send it to overtime, where after a grueling battle between both teams, came away with the four-point victory.
Senior
Jasmine Worthy led the team in scoring with 17 points, going 8-of-11 from the field, along with six rebounds. Junior
Kalea Rainey added 12 points for FMU and four steals, while junior
Sa'mya Stevens chipped in 11 for FMU. Sophomore
Morgan Evans led the team in rebounds with eight.
The loss drops FMU to 8-6 on the year and 4-4 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Wednesday, January 21, when they'll host Florida National. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center. Purchase tickets using
