MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University honored seniors Kaley Rainey,
Alicia Bates, and
Jasmine Worthy on Senior Day. Festivities continued throughout as the Lions took home an impressive 62-57 win over crosstown rival St. Thomas in the Battle of Miami Gardens.
Rainey led the team in scoring with 17 points, while Worthy finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Bates finished with 13 points, while teammate
Jazlynn Givens led the team in rebounds with 10.
The win moves FMU to 14-8 on the year and 9-6 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Monday, February 16, for final home game of the season against Fort Lauderdale. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center. Purchase tickets using
