MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University put on its most dominating performance of the season, taking home a commanding 112-42 victory over Fort Lauderdale in the final home game of the regular season.
Senior
Jasmine Worthy added another double-double to her resume, scoring a team-high 27 points, along with a team-high 12 rebounds. Reigning SUN Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Kalea Rainey scored 20 points on 8-of-9 from the field, along with co-leading the team in steals with four, alongside senior
Alicia Bates. Sophomore
Veyoni Davis scored 13 points for FMU, while junior
Aalexuz Bourne scored 11 for FMU. Teammates
Morgan Evans and
Dibora Leaf each chipped in 10 points for the Lions.
The win advances FMU to 15-8 on the season.
FMU returns to action Wednesday, February 18 for the regular season finale against Kesier. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the Massimino Court.
