WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. | Florida Memorial University travelled to Keiser and defeated the Seahawks 64-55 in the final game of the regular season. With the win, the Lions clinched the No. 3 seed in the SUN Conference tournament and will host round one of the SUN Conference Tournament on Tuesday.
Reigning SUN Conference Offensive Player of the Week,
Kalea Rainey, led the team in scoring with 28 points on 10-of-16 from the field. Senior
Jasmine Worthy scored back-to-back double-doubles, with a 13-point, 10-rebound performance. Sophomore
Veyoni Davis scored 12 points for the Lions, completing the trio of Lions that scored 10+ points.
The win moves FMU to 16-8 on the season and 10-6 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Tuesday, February 24 for round one of the SUN Conference Tournament. Tip-off is TBA at the FMU Wellness Center.
